Prize

We all have doubts
from time to time
but that does not mean
there is no faith in mind.
Just because feelings
of inadequacy rise
does not mean unfaithfulness
is our newest prize.
We will all find ourselves
in predicaments here and there
but we also realize
there is a God who cares.
Moments will arise
when we want to speak
words of depression
that our hearts seem to seek.
However that too shall pass
as we fall into God
at moments we feel the faintest
and the most at odds.
His giant, gentle hands
will catch us as we fall
as we, His most cherished prize,
will be seen through it all.
