The Storm

The wind blows
as nature turns.
The storm brewing
has come to earth.
The quick hit
of rain's fall
begins to pour
and cover all.
A warning failed
to come to some
that has now caused
panic to overcome.
People stare
out of windows
as the wind
continually blows.
Flashing lights
are all that's seen
through a storm
that rains in sheets.
Lights flicker
as people scare
with lightning present
in the air.
Thunder rolls
to shake the viewers
as brave ones drop
to fewer and fewer.
Fear hits hard
as does the weather
to affect people
who wished it was better.
Heaven's fury
won't let up
until the precipitation
overflows the cup.
With running rampant
and patience thin
waiting is all
that can be done by men.
