Does a painting mock its artist?
Does a toilet mock the plumber?
Do the clouds mock the sky
and is math mocked by numbers?
Do feet decide to mock
the ground upon which it walks?
Do pencils likewise mock
paper that allows the bearing of all?
Then why must I hear
the mouths that were made
mock the very hand
that causes them to be fed?
The creation needs to silence
themselves before the One
who put them where they are
is, with His mercy, gone.
