The Lie

I don't know where this myth started.
I don't know where this falsity began.
I don't know when confusion and exaggeration
met and when they picked up and ran.
I don't know who spoke the words
that contradicted the truth in print
or who was foolish enough to assist,
unknowingly propelling the sin.
I don't know who pedaled the trick
that was so far from correct
or who, in the process of the sham,
they were trying to protect.
I don't know how long this facade
has been alive and well
but the gaining of steam
is about to be quelled
with the crashing and the burning
about to come to a head
when the lie, the falsity, the myth
finally ends up dead.

In Check

In check
and supressed,
feeling down
and depressed,
it's my fault,
this giant mess
brought by me,
whom I detest.

All happening,
all so quickly,
this situation
making me sickly,
getting even
more prickly
as time passes
and speech becomes thickly.

Confusion runs
rampant still
with no one to
receive the bill
I must pass
before the spill
further runs
the full mill.

One effort
last ditched,
one trailer
last hitched,
with no more
ideas pitched
there's no chance
for a last switch.

Nature's Confusion

Raindrops fall
so large in all
I feel a dent coming,
but a bright sun
yet still comes
with the storm drumming.
The bright skies
bright blue with lies
of promises of beauty,
the storm tells truth
of beauty kept mute
and weather so moody.
The forecast complicated
as wardrobes intimidated
with confusion by choices,
no idea if nature
will show the ball clearer
and choose one of the voices.
With temperatures,
like characters,
changing stories constantly,
not knowing
which will be showing
is the only certainty.
Yet the amazing
fact so crazing
is the radiant scene's
apparent blessing
in its dressing
of peace that so clings.
The thankfulness
to show gratefulness
for God's blessing
is overcoming me
as I'm welcoming glee
and the moment given for resting.
